Self Assessment:
6. Locate research sources (including academic journal articles, magazine and newspaper articles) in the library’s databases or archives and on the Internet and evaluate them for credibility, accuracy, timeliness, and bias.
7.Compose texts that integrate your stance with appropriate sources using strategies such as summary, critical analysis, interpretation, synthesis, and argumentation.
8.Practice systematic application of citation conventions.
for 6 of the course learning outcomes I think I did well in finding sources that I could use and identifying their biases but for their credibility, I did not pay as much attention to it as I should have but I think it is passable. as for the 7 course learning outcomes I think that I did well in using the sources that I chose and in integrating them into my argument. I mainly used summarizing, interpretation, and argumentation in my writing to make my point and to also go against the opposite point. lastly for 8 I do not regularly practice citation conventions and because of that I felt a bit off when writing this exploratory essay as compared to my narrative essay. the process of integrating evidence from a source in a way that is fluent is still hard for me and I think in this aspect I can get better.
